2009 Teen Summer Reading Program
For Teens 12 to 18. Registration begins Monday, June 22.
Teens will receive a folder with a log sheet, event schedule/calendar, and other information.
How Summer Reading Works:
Read Books: Log your time spent reading. Bring your log sheet
to the Youth Desk and have a Librarian check it to qualify for weekly
drawings! Read 15 hours during the 5 weeks and turn in your log sheet by
Friday, July 31 @ 5pm to qualify for the Grand Prize drawing!
Attend Events: See the Event Schedule (click here) and mark your calendar.
There is no requirement to attend any events, but if you don't, you'll miss
the FUN! Registration is required for all events @ the Youth Desk.
Write Raves: Fave Raves (click here) are short book reviews.
Express yourself by giving the books you read a thumbs up or down and
why you feel that way. Write 2 Fave Raves by Friday, July 31 @ 5pm
to qualify for the Grand Prize drawing.
Earn Prizes: Read some every week or write a Fave Rave and enter the weekly
drawings. Prizes include: T-shirts, Gift Cards, Books, Comics, and more!
Party on August 4: Party on Tuesday, August 4 @ 6-8pm with Hot Spot Karaoke!
Be there for the drawing of the Digital Camera Grand Prize and other prizes!
