Display Case Information
Anything that is not for profit may be displayed in the library's display case. Some examples would be the displays presented by the Salem Co-op Preschool, wood-carvings, Michigan Depression glass, and VFW post 345's Veteran's Day displays. There will be no selling of products or advertising put in the display. Business cards may be left at the library for distribution.
The user must supply all props, backgrounds, fasteners, tools, etc. and they are responsible for the erection and dismantling of their displays. There is no charge for the use of the display case.
The display case is locked. However, The Library assumes no liability in the event of damage, destruction or theft of a display, whether it is in a locked case or not. Signage stating sponsorship of display must be included in all displays.
The general rule on the length of exhibit time is from the first day of the month to the last day of the month. In some cases, such as Veteran's Day, the display case is only needed for a week or two, so there is extra time available. All library displays take precedence.
